The Guildhall Museum provides an exciting insight
into the past history of the Medway Towns from pre-historic times to the 20th
Century. Lots of authentic objects, colourful informative displays and
interactive exhibits set in two fine historic buildings make a visit fun,
enjoyable and educational.
The
Medway Napoleonic Hulks exhibit at the heart of the Guildhall is hugely popular
with visitors of all ages. Interpretive material relating to this exhibit is
provided in English and French.
A
new Charles Dickens Discovery Room and associated Audio Visual Theatre are
planned for early 2006.
A range of
temporary exhibitions complement the permanent displays and family-friendly
events and special activities are held during the school holidays.
For schools and other community groups the Museum
operates an Education Service - please call or email for details.
