A fine Grade 1 Listed country house built during the reign of Henry VIII in 1537 for Sir John Champneys, a Lord Mayor of London, and extended in the 17th century.

The house is set in award winning gardens on the banks of the River Cray and now plays host to exhibitions and events throughout the year. There is a shop, art galleries, tourist information centre, nursery and tea room.

Conveniently situated adjacent to the A2 'Black Prince Interchange', the house is also the venue for concerts, lectures and private functions.
