Rochester is England's second oldest cathedral - over 1,400 years of worship, history and architecture.

It has glorious Norman architecture in the Nave and Crypt, and one of the finest Romanesque facades in the country. Among its many treasures is the magnificent 14th century Chapter Library door.

The first real fresco in an English cathedral for over 800 years was dedicated in 2004 and is on view in the north nave transept. The size and richness of this narrative painting by Sergei Fyodorov has drawn many visitors.

The Tea Room is open Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 4.30pm, and the Cathedral Shop is open Monday to Saturday 10.00am - 4.30pm
Wheelchair access to the Nave and Quire is good but not yet to the Crypt.
