Take a trip on the Spa Valley Railway through the
beautiful Wealden countryside. This heritage railway, primarily operating steam
hauled passenger trains, runs from the historic town of Royal Tunbridge Wells,
via High Rocks, to the charming village of Groombridge.
Tunbridge Wells West Station is situated just off the
A26, south of the town centre, and this is where you will find the railway's
gift shop, buffet and engine shed. The historic Pantilles shopping district and
the famous Chalybeate Spring are just a few minutes walk away.
High Rocks halt is situated adjacent to the historic
High Rocks Inn where you can investigate the spectacular sandstone rocks,
stroll the local footpaths or enjoy a meal or drink in the unique
surroundings.
Groombridge is currently
the terminus for passenger trains and the station is in the heart of this
attractive village, just 10 minutes walk from the award winning Groombridge
Place Gardens and Enchanted Forest.
