Squerryes Court is a beautiful red brick manor house built between 1681 and 1686. The house was purchased by the Wardle family in 1731 and is still lived in by them today. Inside the house there is a fine collection of Old Master paintings from the Italian 17th century, Dutch and 18th century English schools, furniture, porcelain and tapestries all acquired or commissioned by the family in the 18th century. Visitors from far and wide come to enjoy the atmosphere of the house which is still lived in as a family home.

The attractive gardens are interesting throughout the seasons. Starting with thousands of daffodils followed by carpets of bluebells, with the herbaceous borders and old roses flowering throughout the summer. Delightful woodland walks and fine views across the lake make a very peaceful setting.
Delicious light lunches and teas are served in either the Conservatory or the garden.
