Administered by the Churches Conservation Trust
the church of St Michaels is situated in Old Church Lane, East

When the village moved down closer to the river the church was left

Valley. Originally Norman in construction the church has been progressively
enlarged since first built. The weathervane on the shingled spirelet has an
attractive weathervane dated 1704.
Inside the church are
fragments of ancient glass, a Royal Arms of George II and two centuries of
memorials to the local Twysden family.
There is limited parking on
the roads north and south of the church. |
