To experience the thrill of real outdoor Karting, head for Chatham’s Buckmore Park Outdoor Kart Circuit, just off junction 3 of the M2. It’s where British F1 sensation Lewis Hamilton learnt his trade and was discovered by McLaren in 1996. A session at Buckmore will be a day to remember as you follow in the footsteps of British F1 drivers Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Johnny Herbert - all of whom learnt their trade here as youngsters.

Throughout the whole of the year we have various karting days, where kids aged 4-16 can simply turn up and take part. For ages 4-7 we have our 6mph electric karts on our 120m Mini Grand Prix circuit. Ages 8-11 can go karting on the 120m circuit on certain days, or on selected days the 300m Club Circuit. Ages 12-16’s can go on the 600m National circuit in 40mph karts.

In November 2009 Buckmore Park Kart Club won a very prestigious award in the JLT Sport MSA Club of the Year Awards. Over 750 MSA clubs are eligible for entry, and after the judging Buckmore emerged as the highest ranking Kart Club and was in the top three Clubs overall.
