Chiddingstone Castle, a tranquil and exciting treasure set in 35 acres of grounds including a lake, rose garden and magnificent woodland is home to the magnificent collections of Denys Eyre Bower who owned and lived at Chiddingstone between 1956 and 1977,

Denys was a passionate collector who devoted his life to the collection of beautiful art and artefacts, many of which are on display. Collections of stunning Egyptian and Buddhist artefacts, magnificent Japanese armour and beautiful Jacobean paintings are held in trust for the nation by the private trust who continue the legacy of Denys Eyre Bower by opening Chiddingstone to the public for much of the year.

A newly refurbished Victorian Tea Room with a wonderful vintage atmosphere offers a selection of traditional homemade quality fayre which includes sandwiches, cakes and cream teas.

A programme of special events is available throughout the year.
