Farmer’s Market Launch at Doddington Place Gardens

Doddington Place Gardens launches a brand new Farmer’s Market within the beautiful grounds on 6^th May 2012. An array of Kentish producers and artisans will welcome visitors to browse and enjoy their high quality local produce. Stallholders include the award-winning Doughty’s butchers, local cider and apple juices, preserves and chutneys, handmade chocolate, breads, cheese, soap, jewellery, plants and even a Kentish artist who will be painting in situ at his stall! The market will run from 11am to 2pm, after which time the gardens remain open until 5pm with further attractions to enjoy.

And there’s also something for the children! As parents enjoy the beautiful gardens resplendent with spring blooms, children can follow a riddle hunt across the grounds – with a fun novelty chocolate treat for those who find all the clues and crack the code.

In addition to the Farmer’s Market and Children’s Hunt, Doddington Place’s Amicia Oldfield will be giving a talk on ‘Doddington Life’ at 3.30pm in the tea rooms, just after the 3pm free-flying falconry demonstration.

With the tea room offering delicious homemade light lunches, homemade cakes and afternoon teas using Kentish produce, Doddington Place Gardens is a wonderful place to enjoy a perfect day out for all the family.

Doddington Place Gardens is open from 11am to 5pm every Sunday, Wednesday and Bank Holiday Monday, and tickets are £5 per adult and £2 per child. The Farmer’s Market will run from 11am – 2pm on the first Sunday of every month from 6^th May to 2^nd September inclusive.
