River Medway Sailing & Dickens World Package
Join us aboard a restored 86ft Thames Barge and enjoy sailing the River Medway, boarding from the Marina at Dickens World.
Dickens World – Visit Dickens World, an all indoor family-friendly attraction based on the life, works and times of Charles Dickens. Enjoy a journey of discovery as you meet some Dicken’s best loved characters and experience the Victorian England that Dickens knew and wrote about in his novels and short stories.
Edith May Barge – The Thames barge ‘Edith May’ is a fully restored historic ship. An 86ft, medium sized coasting barge, she is spritsail rigged and constructed of Pitch Pine on Oak. Originally built in 1906 for coastal trade carrying wheat and grain products, she also had a successful racing career before falling into sad disrepair during the 1990′s. Now sailing once again, the Edith May Trading Company has been formed and now invites you to join them on this most beautiful of sailing vessels.
